Yes. Although life jackets will be provided, every sailor should know how to swim without the use of a life jacket in case of an emergency. Safety first.
All are welcome at Boerne City Lake Park. Guests will not be allowed to participate in Trisum Sailing activities. Guests are allowed all the privileges and amenities that are included in the admission price per vehicle in the park. These amenities include open swimming, recreational boating (electric motor only), camping, BBQ pits, picnic tables, volleyball court, restrooms, and a wonderful disk golf coarse.
In order to maintain everyone’s safety, sailors should be partnered proportionally and should not exceed an individual weight of 350lbs. Regardless of weight, every sailor should be able to move back and forth between the port side and the starboard side while in the boat and be able to swim at least 20 yards with a life jacket on if necessary.

We will meet at the scheduled time at the Boerne City Lake Park in Boerne, TX. There will be a sign at the entrance pointing towards the left side of the park towards the boat ramp and dock. The class room will be set up near the dock and can be identified by another “Trisum” sign. Please be on time.
Yes, The Boerne City Lake Park charges admission to the park for all events. The price varies with weekdays, weekends and holidays and can be checked on the Boerne City Lake website link.
You may take Sailing 101 and 202 as many times as you like, you can sign up for private lessons, you can gather a group and do continued group lessons, or rent a boat for the day.

Yes, The Boerne City Lake Park has both Men’s and Woman’s restrooms and porta-potties throughout the park.

Yes, a full refund will be provided for classes not yet taken with a min of 24hr notice before the scheduled sailing lesson. Sorry, there are no refunds for courses taken or not completed. We are happy to reschedule your lesson or you may gift your unused lesson to someone else. Please notify Trisum Sailing if you are gifting your class with your information and that of the person you are giving it to a minimum of 24hrs before the scheduled lesson.

The minimum age requirement for individual sailors is 10 years of age, with proper adult supervision. Private sailing lessons are available for the entire family.
