The Venture 22 pocket cruiser was designed and built by Roger Macgregor who founded MacGregor Yachts in 1962 which has sold over 36,000 boats. MacGregor was known for using innovative features which provide stability while maintaining minimal weight and easy trailer-ability. The swing keel was one of the innovations used on MacGregor's smaller boats such as this one.
The venture 22 is well known for its performance on fresh-water, salt-water, day sailing and yacht racing. It is a mastheaded sloops with a sail area of 218 square feet and provides enough thrust for a full day of sailing with the whole family.
